The use of high frequency soft-switch inverter impoving energy conversion efficiency enables power loss of the electronic ballasts to be much lower than that of magnetic ballasts. PFC circuit of high power factor >0.99 enables line power loss to be much lower than that of magnetic ones. These two are direct energy saving.previously housed magnetic ballasts.
