Hydrolyzed feather meal is a good source of natural protein for animal diets. It can be used to replace a significant portion of other protein sources in livestock and aquaculture diets.

Many sudites confirmed that utilization of feather meal / the economic advantage as an ingredient. Research from the University of Georgia found the mean True Metabolizable Energy (TMEn) for Feather Meal 3.07 kcal/kg(12.8 MJ/kg) on a dry matter basis. In similar research from the University of Minnesota, reported a True Available Amino Acid 80% min.

The addition of feather meal can increase lean percent in broilers and swine, provide important by-pass protein for ruminants, and provide an economical source of protein for aquaculture diets.
